This is the story of a man and his passion. Bepi Dalla Pietà achieved his life-dream when he built his first boat in 1949.
Success, other boats, the opening of the first boatyard at Giudecca in
Venice in 1959, were the logical consequences when passion is combined
with innovative ideas and solutions. Where there's a will, there's a
way, and if you add talent, results will soon follow.

Technical details have no room in a story, maybe because they are a bit
boring. But if they mean winning countless international races and
competitions and world championships, they deserve to be mentioned. The
application of marine-grade plywood to the more traditional mahogany
structures in 1960, the adoption of the Hunt hull well ahead of other
builders, the exceptionally streamlined 1968 outboard-engine "Manta"
and its outstanding hydrodynamic performance, are just a few of the
milestones in the development of the Dalla Pietà boatyard.
