In the splendid Gulf of Naples, where the ancient Romans once built their vessels, Baia now designs and constructs it's innovative yachts. The shipyard stretches out over a 26,500 sq. mt. area, with a sea front of more than 100 metres. In 1961 the first cruiser were built in wood. The decisive jump ahead takes place in the '70s when the Capasso family takes over the shipyard. Thanks to the impetus of the proprietors a new concept in yachts takes shape, the result of costant technological evolution, of the search for the higtest level of performance and of the maximum personalization of the models. 1974 brings the beginning of the production of cruisers completely built in fiberglass. In 1986 the special series "Force One" is born, with trimable propellers and hulls laminated in kevlar glass. In 1988 the B50 Force One is built; the revolutionary 50 footer wich does 50 knots. In 1993 the B105 is built in composite. In 1998 the Baia Open becomes convertible. In 2003 an absolutely new idea is presented at the Genova Boat Show: Atlantica, the symbol of the continuous technological progress of Baia Shipyard and of a lifestyle unique in the international nautical panorama.
