Gonet & Cie is the offspring of a brokerage and foreign exchange operation, Frederic de Seigneux, which was founded in 1845.
The bank's main activity remains the management of private assets and
the services needed to achieve this goal. Gonet is based in Geneva and
also operates an affiliated bank in the Bahamas in order to respond to
clients, who wish to diversify the custody of their securities or
request trust services. About 30 persons assist the management in its
task. Most investment managers have university degrees and have spent
some time in the United States as trainees of financial institutions
and language schools.
Main activities
The bank's network of correspondents keeps it posted on economical and
political events, which will eventually influence the world's major
stock markets. The most promising companies are scrutinized by the
bank's state-of-the-art technical analysis, before being checked for
security and quality. Brokers worldwide then efficiently execute the
market orders. The bank has at its clients' disposal tax advisers and
bookkeepers and will assist its customers in legal matters, like
forming companies, foundations or trusts.
Gonet has traditionally refrained from creating specific in-house funds
and is thus able to independently select the best available financial
products offered on the market-
